Today we went to our client's house and took a look at their 'showroom'. The showroom was in their garage towards the outside of their house. It was a small room split between a couch and frame testing area and then the rest filled with the machines and lenses used to create the glasses.
We then moved into the house and sat down further and gained more info on what they were wanting and what we could take from this meeting.
The points taken from the visit were that their reglazing service was actually quite a big part of their business and that was where they were cheaper and more efficient than their counterparts.
They were really keen on developing a packaging for the different uses e.g. big enough to send out a few pairs for at home trial, or for single use.
Their social media presence is very limited. Although glasses aren't a great area for social media they need a consistency in their image from their website to their facebook page.
They want the business and the social sides of their business separate (although this may be hard to do as it involves to separate morals).
Their 'showroom' space could be slightly adapted so that it looks a bit more professional and less "out of the back shed".
Lastly they need a nice sign to put on the door of their shed as currently it is a piece of plywood with Mr Foureyes written in vivid.
